Tyga is moving into a new creative phase with the introduction of $TARFACE, an alter ego built around a clear 1980s influence. The rollout brings a different look and sound for the rapper, including retro styling, synth-heavy production, and a more character-driven presentation.
In recent social media posts, Tyga has presented $TARFACE as a separate persona tied to a new musical direction. The first single from the project, “GAVE U RACKS,” puts more focus on melody and bright synth-wave elements than his usual rap-centered approach.
The new era also includes “LAVI$H,” a collaboration with Fenix Flexin. A teaser for the track drew strong attention online, adding to interest around the full project. The music is expected to be part of a 10-track release connected to the $TARFACE concept.
The shift follows Tyga’s 2025 album “NSFW,” which stayed closer to his established hip-hop sound and featured several high-profile guests. With $TARFACE, he appears to be using both music and visuals to frame a separate chapter in his catalog.
